Yonkoma, or "4-koma" is a term applied to a group of comic strips consisting of four similarly-sized panels. The "plot" usually wraps up within the last of these four panels, although it isn't uncommon to see continuations in future installments. Most of the comics done in this style revolve around some sort of gag. The panel arrangement (known as Kishōtenketsu) tells the story in this way: #1 Ki: This panel sets the scene up. #2 Shō: This panel develops what was started in the first panel. In other words, it shapes out the foundations of the plot. #3 Ten: The plot's climax takes place here, which usually involves the occurance of an unprecedented development. #4 Ketsu: The conclusion happens here, and shows the reader the aftermath of panel 3's effects on the story. :devsilvercresent11: (Sorry I fail at explaining lawl).
